Chapter D
Where to look for an assessment
Would you prefer to discuss your concern face to face or through an online conversation? Start with the assessment, then check the offer.
An in-person medical practice
Ask whether the practice assesses the concern you want to discuss. Describe that concern before asking whether it offers sermorelin.
Useful details to request include who handles the visit, what records to bring and how questions are answered afterward.
A search for care can start with licensed medical practices. Write down who will assess your health as well as the name of the practice.
A licensed telehealth service
Telehealth is a visit or exchange online or by phone. Ask whether it uses a live call, messages or a form reviewed later.
For the state you are in, your care provider must have a licence or another legal authorisation, according to federal health guidance checked September 26, 2026.
State rules differ on how an online assessment can establish a care relationship, as of September 26, 2026.
Share your planned visit location with the service. Ask what permission allows it to provide care in that state.
Understand the online visitAsk what happens when more is needed
The national medical-board group recommends two routes for needed tests: the person assessing your health arranges them, or refers you to someone who can.
This recommendation has no force of law on its own; the rules that can be enforced are set by each state.
Ask the medical board in your state which rules apply to the visit you are considering.
Ask how the service handles a need for an in-person exam, and who receives the results of any tests.
