What getting care can involve

Prepare for a conversation
Bring a short account of what you want assessed, the medicines you already take and questions that remain open.
For an online exchange, find out who reviews what you write and how to send any details you left out. For a live call, keep the same notes beside you.
A form can be part of care
The national medical-board group says an initial visit may sometimes start online, provided its standard of care matches an in-person visit.
That group says treatment cannot be decided from a fixed form alone; whoever assesses your health must have enough information and be able to ask more questions.
As of September 26, 2026, state rules differ on what an online first assessment can involve.
The group’s advice has no force of law on its own; the rules that can be enforced are set by each state.
Ask whether the person assessing you can come back with questions and whether you can ask your own. Ask the state medical board to explain any rule you cannot follow.
Ask why any test is being proposed
The national medical-board group recommends arranging needed tests or sending the patient to someone who can do them.
The older sermorelin studies tracked hormone response and measures such as blood sugar; that is a research record, not a required test list.
Ask what the test would help decide, who explains the result and what happens if the result points toward another approach.
Ask what follows the decision
What are the options if medicine is not the next step?
Who reviews progress, and how do I reach that person?
What would lead to changing or ending the plan?
Keep this in mind
Look for an assessment you can take part in. Leave with the reason for the decision and a clear way to ask follow-up questions.
