Sermorelin copies part of a hormone, a body signal that prompts growth hormone release from a small gland beneath the brain.
Growth hormone is a body signal that helps children grow.
In small studies of older adults, hormone levels rose but body fat did not change in the studies that measured it.
Ask what change in your daily life the treatment is meant to bring, and what research supports that goal.
The Food and Drug Administration, or FDA, handles reviews of medicines in the US.
No sermorelin product with FDA approval is on the US market as of September 28, 2026.
A useful opening question is: what problem is this meant to treat, and why is it being offered to me?
